My name is Elizabeth, I'm 41, married, and mother of 2.
My weight goal is 136
I have no idea if that is attainable or even reasonable.
I wish to put my Type 2 Diabetes in full remission.
To control anxiety through natural means.
To honor my body, no matter where we are in our journey.
I was diagnosed with type II Diabetes in November '11. I have had ups and downs, weight losses and gains, A1Cs that impress and concern.
I have a curiosity about what life might look like for me if it included

I am a Phoenix Native, and am a desert rat and a city girl.
I am currently back in school to obtain a MA in Clinical Psychology. I hope to work with Police Departments, training, educating and counseling in PTSD.
I am a founding member of Abundant Life Ministries Phoenix, a Non-Profit company designed to assist women in finding their passion and building the support network necessary to achieve their goals. (Going back to school is a fruit of this project) Our Tagline is, "There is a Life You Were Meant to Live." I'm going to find mine!

Thanks for your comments on my page. To answer you question regarding the A1c, I charted for each month Pre-Breakfast (fasting) and at bedtime. That was my original intent in recording my levels. Than I realized that other times of the day were just as important in obtaining averages.
Now I still do Pre-Breakfast every day as that is my fasting reading. I then select 0ne other test for the day alternating amongst the following.
2- hours after Bkfst; Pre-Lunch; 2- Hrs after lunch; Pre-Dinner; 2-H0urs after Dinner, Bedtime & I have an "Other" column that I'll use on special occassion such as Thanksging Dinner or eating out at a restaurant (test 2-Hrs after).
The "Other" column is important to me as on special days I'm off my usual routine. This allows me to determine if what I did was beneficial to my health.
Setting up the Excel data sheet takes a little effort but worthwhile in examing your progess. I'm in your corner. If I can help further let me know, Happy Progress, Earl
