I can't say that I've been one of SP's raging success stories, being as I've only managed to lose 10 pounds in the two years since I joined. However, I've so successfully regained my health and mobility and reduced my pain levels and am so thrilled by how I feel these days that losing weight has dropped from the number one priority in my life to merely a much-anticipated pleasant side effect in the long term. Make no mistake - I am in this for the long run, and determined to succeed at becoming optimally healthy and truly fit. We only get this one life in this one body that was originally designed to last for the entire duration if we take care of it, and I want to get the most out of both my body and my life for as long as possible.

Amen.

Now enough of this boring stuff. Lets go out and do something fun! lol

Current Status:
THEMFOLK is back to exercising. For a while there I was too busy doing grunt work to really exercise in a good way and my back was letting me know I was pushing it. Feel so much better now!

My Goals:
I want to become optimally fit in order to live my life to the fullest. That is my sole aim; all else is icing on the cake.

My Program:
7-31-14
I've revised my thinking and simplified my strategy. I do yoga 6 mornings per week because it makes me more limber and pain-free. That has become non-negotiable. Other than that, my main objective is to eat less and exercise more until such a time as I am where I want to be so far as my physical condition goes, and then I will worry about changing gears for maintenance.

Oh, and I want as much of it to be in the form of play as is possible. Work or play, though, I'm going to do it.

I have cut out almost all junk foods (still splurge now and then) and am eating more healthful foods and I am tracking EVERYTHING!

3-15-14 I am now committing to working out in the gym 3 times per week, doing Pilates on 3 alternate days and walking every day. I average between 3 and 5 miles per day now, depending on what else I'm doing that day.

Personal Information:
I am a photographer, artist and writer who also happens to raise beef cattle and a few horses. I used to breed AQHA performance horses and still have what's left of the breeding program, but have developed a deep appreciation for BLM mustangs. Three years ago I adopted two BLM mares who have made me rethink and relearn everything I ever thought I knew about horses.

Other Information:
I read a lot. You just never know what you might learn when you open a book.

We haven't really had a lot of rain......it has just been COLD!! Now, starting to warm up and we have a possibility of storms......I think it is supposed to rain most of the weekend. That is OK, we need it! Stay warm! emoticon
