Hi Sparkers!!

Its been a while...a long journey into weight loss.... lets just start off by saying I cant even phathom the idea that I haven't been on this site since 2010 soooooo lets start some updating!!

2010
In October I had weight loss surgery yes VSG...starting weight 325...within the course of the following months I lost 70lbs total....yay!

2011-2012
I plateau and resumed bad eating habits sugar, carbs no-no's!! stayed at about 260's average size 16-18.
Moved to Miami for 8 months (at size 16) walked a lot no license to drive I eventually move back to NYC in Oct 2012 and have been here since (2013) Build a obsession for running!!

Now 2014
Jan -Restarting my c25k app on iphone...at 252lbs (loose 18 in size) Running a 5k in March in Seattle!! Exciting...

That's been my journey more or less in a nut shell!
I am happy I did the VSG surgery however it wasn't a magic pill or solution. My surgeon told me that this is only a tool and to benefit from it I have to eat right and exercise. I have 53lbs to lose to get to Onderland and 93 to lose to get to goal of 160. Im very optimistic about 2014 and plan to accomplish all my goals (health and personal).

My Goals:
To be healthy of course but Overall goals are to be 160 lbs or be a size 12 whichever comes first.

Drink less coffee and diet soda.
More protein and veggies, eat less Carbs/sugar!
I am trying not to put a time(date) limit with goals because i dont know how fast or slow i will lose the weight it can be months or 2yrs from now so..ill keep everyone posted.

My Program:
I am currently eating more protein and veggies...less carbs and sugar..limit on coffee. Splenda is my friend as is Metamucil lol. Working 2 jobs makes it hard to excersize so I am trying to dedicate 3 days and hour each of cardio including my c25k app on my iphone to prepare me for my 5k in March!

Personal Information:
I am 29 y/o, fulltime worker. working 2 jobs (1 is p/t) living in the big apple...NYC!!
I currently go to blink gym in Harlem/Chelsea so if you see me say hi!

i have tried every diet known to man. I am a very friendly person and i just overall want to to be healthy and meet people with the same goals... Im tired of being the FAT FRIEND,RELATIVE,CO-WORKER...AND PERSON IN THE ROOM. Need Determination, support, motivation and confidence...i can do this! We can do this!

After reading your profile I feel you, I have been a heavy girl most of my life but it's great to see your positive attitude! Keep fighting the good fight! Get moving it's the best way. As I've been told before in my weight loss journey think before you do.... is your action getting you closer to your goal or further. It has helped me put down the extra cookie or two down before.
