Vegan but not Skinny

Being a vegan does not automatically make you skinny. The combination of not getting enough exercise, spending lots of time sitting (even when it is for important things like reading), and being constantly tired due to being a single mother does bad things for my health. Here's to losing some stress, losing some weight, and feeling happy!

My Program:
I'm trying to watch what I eat, get more exercise, and get enough sleep.

Personal Information:
I'm vegan & mommy to a little vegan.

Other Information:
In addition to homeschooling my son I write a vegan cooking blog, run my own Etsy shop, and read as much as I can.

Hi, it is very hard to be vegan. I tried once but am working on vegetarian. I do eat fish though. I have not eaten red meat in a year and am trying to find recipes that work for me. I am diabetic so can't eat too many potatoes.

Good luck on your journey to good health. I find tracking food in the tracker to be the most helpful.

Hi and welcome to Sparkpeople . Congrats on making this move toward a healthier YOU. Take it one step, one day at a time. Track how much food you intake, get plenty of water & exercise...those are very important steps. By joining teams, you get added encouragement, support and motivation. Check out the teams on my page, or do a search for ones with your interests. If I can be of any help, please let me know.
