I've struggled with weight my whole life. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, I realized that if I don't take control of things now, pulling out of future health issues might be very, very difficult. When I first joined SP, I didn't go anywhere with it. I'm back now, and actually putting it to good use. This time, so far, so good! I've been successful so far!
Before my MS was diagnosed, I had started a weight loss journey where I lost just over 39 pounds in about a year and a half. Then I went though my diagnosis period and was kind of a bit preoccupied to keep on the journey. But luckily, I only gained 5 pounds in the ~6 years since then. And now I'm back. My progress numbers reflect my current weight loss journey and don't take the previous loss into its numbers.
To obtain better health by learning how to take care of myself; keeping track of what I put into my body and making healthier food choices; and being physically active.
-Additional 10 pounds (for a total of 25) by June 21, 2012. [Done, 6/12/12! WOOHOO!]
-Additional 10 pounds (for a total of 35) by 9/13/12. [Done, 8/9/12! WOOHOO!]
-Reach ONEderland by 9/20/12. [Done, 8/9/12! WOOHOO!]
-Additional 10 pounds (for a total of 45) by 10/4/12. [Done, 10/11/12. I'll take it even a week late! WOOHOO!]
-Scale Vacation until 11/15/12. Hoping to be another 4 pounds down by then. [Done! Actual loss: 5.8 pounds! WOOHOO!]

Keeping my calorie count between 1350-1600 calories per day. Get at least 10 minutes of cardio every day, and shoot for at least 30 minutes 5 days a week. Do regular strength training, focusing on different muscle groups 6 days a week.
