Remember when it comes to food - everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial.

I'm in my 50's and have been struggling with my weight my whole life! I can remember being called names when I was 8 years old because of my weight. It's high time I did something about it that lasts more than a few days or a few months. With the help of SparkPeople and the support and motivation from you all, I know I can do it this time.

My Goals:
I plan on losing more than 100 pounds so I'm going to be here awhile. I'm going to attack it this time from all the angles, not just food, not just exercise, not just emotions. Stick with me and watch me get to my goal weight and stay there.

My Program:
Walking, journaling, planning my eating, checking back here every day.

Personal Information:
I'm from Mississauga, Ontario, just west of Toronto. I was born in New York but came to Canada with my family when I was 11 years old. I'm a single mother of two almost grown sons and want to see my sons and grandchildren grow up.

Other Information:
Tigger is my hero. He's the original optimist. If it's not fun, why do it? It's fun or you need to make it fun.

We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19

Watch your thoughts, they become your words. Watch your words, they become your actions. Watch your actions, they become your habits. Watch your habits, they become your character. Watch your character for it becomes your destiny.
---- Frank Outlaw

Your greatest self has been waiting your whole life; don't make it wait any longer.

I just joined a team and found you on the members list. I noticed you are interested in being a writer. If you say you are a writer, you are one. I have only been published in an anthology of short stories, but I write a monthly column for a local newsletter, and have lots of things I am working on. I don't know if I will ever publish a book, but I think I would like to. I learn something new each time I go to a writers group!

"GREET EACH DAY WITH YOUR PROJECTION"

"I awake sometimes a mere shadow of myself.
Without a mirror I judge this shadow.
Yet, prior to the days beginning,
I foresee my future perfect self.
In order to rise above my shadow,
I dilute my negativity,
And bring in the illusion of endless happiness,
Drawing a smile on my face,
Opening my eyes to the clarity of hope.
For I now greet the day with my projection of myself.
As being hopeful in my journey."

Dropping by to wish you a Happy Day; one filled with purpose and many blessings from our wonderful Lord.

Just want to share a couple of verses that I find helpful along the way.
Psalm 34:18-19 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all!

Keep looking up emoticon
Lois
