In 2017 I want to continue building on the successes of 2016 because continuing to get well is one of my most passionate
goals. "I May not be the strongest, I may not be the fastest, but I'll be damned if I'm not trying my hardest"

Goals for 2016
I entered April 1st 2016 with a 20 pound weight loss after finishing a 10 week fitness challenge. I won 1st place out of 11 competitors and my team won 1st place. I am so proud of myself and hope to build on this success from here on out. 4/2/16

Goals for 2015
I took a few days to marinate on the goals I wanted to accomplish this year. In the past I've always been general this time I wanted to be specific.

- I am going to continue my workout DVD personal challenge at least three times a week
- I liked one of the articles that I read in the January 2015 Health magazine. "Your first instinct is to cut out bad foods, scratch that....Instead think about what you should add to your diet...with the goal of slowly crowding out unhealthy processed foods." Basically instead of telling myself I can't have something I will focus more on the foods that are healthier for me and make sure I have a lot of it on hand so I won't have room for the unhealthy stuff.

- Lastly, letting go of clutter. Although I am somewhat of a novice tech geek I still have issues with letting go of the tangibles. The librarian in me can't let go of the physical book even though I have at least three items I can read e-books from.

These are my three main goals for this year every else I accomplish will be feathers in my cap. 1/8/15

HITTING RESET
2013 was not a great year for me. Everything come to head that summer when I had to have life saving and life altering surgery. During recovery, I never knew such pain existed and could last for do long. Everyone in while I twinge that sends me into flashback mode.
As December was ending, I decided it was time to get back on track with my weight lose journey. More then a year before that, I gave up exercising because 30 min on the treadmill drain my energy for the rest of the day sending me into a narcoleptic fit that was to much to bare.

So on January 2, 2014, I hit the reset button. I rejoined a gym and committed to only doing 30 min on the treadmill no matter how slow or what people thought. The weight lose is very slow, I've lost 7.6 pounds in 4 months, But the benefits of my lifestyle change much greater. In March 2014 I became official no longer anemic after more than 20 years, my knee and ankles don't hurt, and my endurance is up tremendously to point that I walked 5 miles to and from my house to see a new local park. I may have my ups and downs but I'm optimistic for the future. 5/5/14
