Re-Igniting My Spark!

Hi! I'm Andrea! I originally joined Spark in April 2009 and was an active member on and off until March 2013. But I find that I really miss the support of the Spark community, so here I am! I am hoping to find friends to support me along this journey and those that I can cheer along as well!

My weight has always been a roller coaster ride, and being an emotional eater it has fluctuated up and down over the years as my life circumstances have changed. I have found it more challenging to lose weight since turning 50 but I am ready to take control to achieve a healthy weight and fit lifestyle.

It is finally time for me to get off of this roller coaster ride! It is time for me to become the healthy person I know that I can be!

Anyone can give up, its the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.

Initial Goals:
~ To get out of the Obese BMI category and reach Overweight BMI of less than 29.9

~ Get back to Onederland (less than 200 lbs.)

~ Control GERD and asthma

~ Walk up a flight of stairs without running out of breath!

~ Fit into my clothes from a year ago




My Program:
Daily tracking:
1220-1550 calories a day

Treadmill walking/brisk pace 50 minutes a day 5-6 days a week

Strength training 3x week

Keeping a positive attitude!

I was born and raised in Virginia, lived and worked in Florida for 5 years but am now back in Virginia. I am a wife, mother, loyal friend and good listener. I am active in dog rescue and am a foster home to homeless dogs waiting for their forever home.
