I'm on my way to me

I have yo-yo dieted for several years. I have tried pills, lo carb, cabbage soup diet, which I still can not look at cabbage to this day without thinking of those awful years. After 22 years (that's how old my baby is), I'm still trying to lose the "baby weight". I'm tired of having that "bogged down feeling". I have spent my entire life taking care of other people, which I absolutely love. 2009 is the year that I'm going to take care of me.

Welcome! You've taken a giant step by coming back to Spark People.

Staying with your daily calorie range, portion controlling your food using a digital kitchen scale, making sure you are drinking enough water, and moving your body every day will get you a lot closer to where you want to be!

Use your Daily Nutrition Tracker @
sparkpeople.com/myspark/nutrition.asp

You're going to want to know how you did staying within your caloric range everyday, and how you can improve. You'll be able to begin to see patterns emerging and how better to feed your body for all you expect it to do when you keep track of everything you eat.

Run the Daily Nutrition Feedback Report each day @
sparkpeople.com/myspark/nutrition_feedba
ck_check.asp

You'll be able to see how you met your goals (or went over or under them). The pie charts at the bottom of the page break down your calories by meal and also provide a Carb / Fat / Protein Breakdown which is very helpful in visually getting you to see where you could better tweak what you're eating.

I wish you much success on your journey!

Hi and welcome back to Spark!! Take one day at a time, one step at a time. You can and will do this!!

I use a fit bit so my minutes are tracked automatically. I have used the activity tracker in the past and never had any issues with it.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I've always been a little jealous of my little sister because she has a great walking path within a half hour drive of her home. Now I have her beat. Mine is half a mile away. She can't wait to drive up here to walk with me. LOL
