I know what to do, it is a matter of sticking with it

I just turned 35 still tryiing to stay as fit as I was in my 20's. I am very active but poor dieting prevents me from taking it to the next level. I use the jawbone up to try to increase my activity and try to track my sleeping habits. I injured my knee last year so my basketball carrer has been limited. I now have found a new loving in cycling. It is relaxing and give me a good piece of mind.

Hi & thanks for the gift card TKELS78 , I wont spend it all in one place LOL . It is kinda fun to send & recieve the goodies , for encouragement , frendly jestures , welcoming , sympathies , etc. So wishing you a warm welcome to Spark , as I really enjoy doing all the motivating activities here im sure you will as well. The message board game rooms are especially fun and some are really challenging. Im fairly new here as well

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Congratulations on taking your first steps to a brand new you and a new weight loss experience where you are supported by en entire community of like-minded people. This website is dedicated to helping people who want a healthier lifestyle including issues with eating healthy and exercising, as well as support forums where we talk about specific issues.

My recommendation is to live by your calorie tracker and track EVERYHTING that passes your lips! Salt, seasonings, everything. It will really help you find out where you are missing the target, or overshooting!!
