My Goals Started

I have recently set several goals for myself, now that I am nearing 50 and have grandchildren. I want to lose weight & get fit, which will help me to be healthier & I feel certain, happier. I can then be in better shape and more able to do things with my grandchildren and the rest of my family. I am also going to try & return to my classes in college course on line. I want to live longer & be healthier. I am tired of the yoyo in my health & weight. Exercising is difficult with my many health ...

Exercising is difficult with my many health issues, but I have been given some new ideas & I am getting some exercise while taking physical therapy that I hope I can increase as I need less therapy.

My Goals:

I would like to reach 250 by July 21, 2013 .


My long term goal is to reach 195 by April 10, 2014, my 51st birthday. Ideally I would like to get down to between 160-175, but just reaching 195 will be a major accomplishment.

My Program:
I have already cut way back on the almost daily lunchtime desserts, bread, & junk food. I had also cut out most sodas.

We stopped using sugar and adding salt several years ago to reduce blood pressure & weight. We also try to eat a high fiber diet for stomach problems.

I am currently: Trying to drink at least 8 x 8 water daily;
I want to exercise minimum of 3 x week;
I am watching my calories, fat, carbs & protein;
I need to do strength training exercises at least 3 X week;
I want to get back to journaling & really enjoying Spark;
I try to eat at least 2 servings each of fruit & veggies (which I enjoy anyway).

Personal Information:
I am married with 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren plus another on the way. I work part time, I am a Christian, I love the Lord and I am thankful everyday for His love, my life and all that I am blessed with, love to sing and enjoy online games, reading and crochet.

I started college online and I am now working on my Bachelors degree in Business Management.

My sister BJNAshley also joined SP & I am looking forward to doing this together.`
