I WILL

I Will....

... be present and CONSCIOUSLY make decisions about what I put in my mouth.

... enjoy life and find SOMETHING to do instead of eat out of boredom.

... make the decision EVERY DAY to be a better me, to like myself again and not fall into old bad habits.

... keep going, find the good alternative and make my family proud.

My Goals:
maintaining a weight near 155 (or less).

increase fitness and tone in order to get back to riding, be able to do more around my farm and enjoy life better.

I WANT P!NK'S ABS!! (or something close it it)

My Program:
Watching my portions!
Tracking my nutrition and fitness... if I track, then I am accountable... then I stay on track!
No soda, very limited processed foods. I'm trying to maintain an SCD-ish/Paleo-ish type of diet.

Personal Information:
I'm over 40 - though never feel like it - and live near Dayton, Ohio. I have a small farm that I hope to expand in the future. I'm a web application developer by day... a farmer/rider/gardener/actress by night. Life isn't what I figured it would be a few years ago... but I'm finding me and finding my motivation again... slowly, but it's coming.

Other Information:
Discipline - remembering what you want.

"It is good to be a Seeker, but sooner or later you have to be a Finder. And then it is well to give what you have found, a gift into the world for whoever will accept it.." -- from Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach

I give thanks to God, the Father, for you as I pray for you today. May you know by experience God’s grace, spiritual favor and BLESSing today and every day, having heart peace from God the Eternal Father – that peaceful state of trust in Him to which He calls us; that soul harmony with Him that umpires life choices, heart desires, and questions of the mind. May He settle us with faith to trust Him. Have a BLESSed Thanksgiving, rested in Father. Loving you in Christ, Darlene.

The cold weather is getting to me, but it will not win the war. What is getting to you and slowing your progress? Let me know and I will gladly pray with you for your victory. Whatever the challenge, let's keep the main thing the main thing and find the victory there. Enjoy the journey, and remember, progress--not perfection. Change comes here a little and there a little as we stay the course. Remember that true success is in how we make the journey, not the destination. If we lose all our weight but fail the change the habits that put us there, we may feel victorious in reaching the destination, but it will be short lived if we don't find the victory needed on the journey of true change. emoticon emoticon emoticon Darlene emoticon Go Mustangs! There is victory in the journey lived well.
