Hi, I've battled my weight most of my life. I actually weigh now what I weighed in elementary school - I was the fat kid back when not so many kids were fluffy. When I was in high school I lost 50 pounds the "right" way. I quit eating fried foods, ate lots of salads/fruits/vegetables, walked and did other exercises almost every day. Since then my weight has fluctuated several times - by anywhere from 10 - 30 pounds. I know that when I am mindful of my eating (only eat when I'm hungry, stop eating when satisfied, not full) and get somewhat regular exercise I fairly easily maintain my weight. Somehow life keeps slipping up on me and before I know it I've put on 10 pounds or more. I had finally gotten my weight back down, maintained it even through the holiday season, then somehow managed to gain 10 pounds in January, then another five pounds when I eliminated wheat from my diet a few months ago! Note to self - replacing wheat with processed products like gluten free cookies and corn chips is not conducive to weight loss! So now it is time to regroup once again. I still have limitations on exercise, but I'm trying to focus on what I can do instead doing nothing since I can't do the things I really want to.
1. Read Bible/devotions daily
2. Track food/plan meals
3. Drink water
4. Take thyroid meds daily
5. Get enough sleep
6. 10,000 steps most days
7. Participate in Spark Teams
8. Post weight weekly
I'm currently re-evaluating my program. I am having health issues that restrict my ability to exercise, so it'll be trial and error until I find something I can do consistently without causing too much pain.
