Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
Hi. Welcome to my page. My name is Laura.
I'm 51 years young, single, no children, one female mixed mutt (2 years old) and two exotic parrots (each 17 years old). I rescue unwanted, abandoned and abused animals from dogs and cats to birds and reptiles and everything in between. I also rehab birds found in distress in the wild. Every one of God's creatures is precious and unique!
I am described as compassionate--reaching out to the homeless by visiting and touching those who no one else wants to touch. I also champion for the rights of children who had been written off or forgotten. I am involved in countless charitable works and encourage everyone to be part of the change. Identify a tool you possess and use it to make a difference in someone's life today.
I only tell you the above because that's how others describe me. You know the saying, you can't love others until you love yourself. Well, I don't love myself. I am not good to me. It's time to change that. On 3/8/2010, I asked God to help me with ordinary, small and simple things to make me live longer. First, I had to admit that I need help. This is difficult for me to do. To prove that I do, here's my beginning stats.
5'6", 230 lbs.
Ankle 10.5, 10.25
Calf 17.25, 17.5
Knee 17.5, 17.25

So, I hope to get to know some people here. I know there are way too many people to get to talk with everyone. I look forward to sharing life with you. I need your help. Please.
Todaysagift's goal is to remember -- just for today -- that Life Is a Gift
Today, before you say an unkind word,
Think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food,
Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife,
Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.
Today, before you complain about life,
Think of someone who died too early on this earth.
Before you complain about your children,
Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.
Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep,
Think of the people who are living in the streets.
Before whining about the distance you drive,
Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job,
Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.
But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another,
Remember that not one of us is without sin.
Faith makes all things possible...
Hope makes all things bright...
Love makes all things easy...
With God, I hope know my success is a Journey and not a Destination.
Today is truly a gift.
May God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change all the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.
