On My Way

Greetings! I'm Susan. I am a New England native who has lived in sunny Florida for most of my adult life. I have a great husband and two wonderful teenaged sons. I am a born-again Christian and I am so thankful I am on my way to heaven. On the journey to a weight of 140 - I am on my way! I love the SparkPeople website and I am so glad it is all free! Thank you to Chris Downie and to everyone at this website who make it all happen. In the background is my sweet miniature dachshund Shiloh.

My Goals:
I want to weigh 140. I want to be healthy and in shape. I want to lower my triglycerides and raise my HDL. I would like to be able to get off my cholesterol & triglyceride medications. I want to learn to cook heathy and delicious food that my whole family will love. I just figured out on the BMI calculator that I will be out of the "obese" category when I weigh 174.8. As of today, May 1, 2014, I am 41.6 pounds away. Today I weigh 216.4, down from an all-time high of 223 or so in February. I finally gave up soda on January 22, 2014 - even diet soda - and my A1C dropped from 6.0 to 4.9!! Huge accomplishment for me. Huge.

My Program:
Weigh and measure all my food. Track all my food and fitness minutes. Read the King James Bible and The Spark every day. Do at least 10 minutes of cardio every day. Do circuit training 3 times a week.
