In November of '08 I came down with Bell's Palsy. The Doctor wanted to have the lab check my glucose levels then but since my in office test was fine I did not go. Fast forward several months. My palsy symptoms felt like they were returning. This time I went to the Lab, the Neurologist, and had an MRI! The Neurologist said the MRI was fine but I found that my blood work was not!

My palsy symptoms felt like they were returning. This time I went to the Lab, the Neurologist, and had an MRI! The Neurologist said the MRI was fine but I found that my blood work was not!

My A1C was 6.2, even though my "bad" cholesterol was fine my "good' cholesterol was pretty low and I was almost anemic!

Pretty big shock for someone who has never been sick a day in her life, almost literally. I don't even get colds!

Now I am changing my diet and exercising to try to get this under control. I go back for retesting in a couple of months, we'll see how well I do...

Personal Information:
I have been married to my DH for 31 years. We have three grown children that live about 2.5 hours away :( !

We live on 10 acres near a small town in southeastern KY. My husband likes to "farm" so we have an assortment of animals including 1 evil outside cat, 1 horse, several cows, and a few chickens.

Other Information:
I enjoy sewing, knitting, and most things "crafty"!

I like to read. I usually read cookbooks and how-to type books but I enjoy some fiction. I especially enjoy Silas House's books. Clay's Quilt, A parchment of Leaves, and The coal Tattoo are on my favorites list!
