Whats up everybody! My name is Tonya Taylor and I am a proud mama of three. I am moving swiftly towards my weight loss goal. I am down to 198 pounds from 235 pounds. I credit my weight loss to alot of different factors. Sparkpeople sewed the seeds of weight loss for me. But, the main reason for my sucessful journey is I stumbled across this website and at first I thought another weight loss scam. It was nothing like that, it changed my life and it did not even cost me a cent. It taught me how to exercise effectively, when to exercise, and interval training. The trainer Adrian Bryant who owns the website gives anyone free exercise DVDs. The whole website is a wealth of invaluable information and it cost you absolutely nothing. Before I could not jog to the mailbox, now I am running 9mph intervals 4 to 5 times a week. I have completely changed the way I eat. I gave up sodas, eat 5 to 6 small meals a day. I do not call what I do a diet, because I do not deny myself food that I love. I just practice portion control. I believe small changes are just as effective as big changes. I started cooking with coconut oil instead of vegetable oil and lard. I am always looking for flavor filled vegetable recipe. I have found that I like fresh fruit and vegetables. I am learning for the first time to take care of myself. I want to give some advice to other people like me who are on weight loss journeys. I have friends who try to lose weight for husbands and boyfriends. I myself was guiilty of this. I cannot tell you how many timesI have started a hardcore diet program because my boyfriend was looking at some skinny female. I felt like I had to that to keep him. It was only when I let go of this baggage that I realized my purpose. I had to make this about me and me only! I found physical activity I enjoyed, so exercise seemed like fun, instead of a chore. Beside my interval training, I strength train twice a week, and do Wii Fit Plus five to six days a week. I love Wii Fit Plus because it make exercising super fun. I stopped caring about what people thought and did my own thing. I got tired of waiting for validation from everyone about my weight loss, the only opinion that matters is mine. You have to do it for yourself, you are the one doing the hard work, you reap the benefits, not the spectators.

My Goals:
My main goal is to be comfortable with my body. To realize its strengths and weaknesses. Losing weight is not enough if I am not comfortable in my own skin.

My Program:
I do 4 to 5 days a week interval training, 30 min in the morning, and 25 in the evenings. I do Wii Fit Plus 5 -7 days a week. I stength train 2 to 3 times a week. Sometimes I do Total Gym or free weights.

I am a music fanantic. I have a broad range of music tastes. I listen to rock, r&b, jazz. I believe music can be healing. If I am having a extremely bad day, Nina Simone's music just take me back to perfect place. I could not do intervals without my music from my ipod, it is that essential.
