Tonya Time is now!

Resetting my goals, means resetting my page! I am working toward reaching my "badass" goal at age 40. I am 37 and counting right now. I am down 20 lbs from where I started... but plan to be another 30 lbs down this year! I can do it too!!!

I am currently training for a half marathon on April 4th. 2014. I plan to complete a couple of sprint triathlons this year as well as a couple of duathlons. Let's keep moving in the right direction for 2014.

My Goals:
To be "BADASS". I want to lose weight, be fit and healthy!


My Program:
I work out at the gym 5 days a week and on my own 1-2 days a week.
I am working on eating healthier food and portion control. My food has controlled me for too long and its time that I regain my control. I have noticed I tend to binge and have emotional eating issues that I plan to control. My workouts include gym classes such as RPM/spinning/body pump/yoga... treadmill, lifting, running, biking and swimming.

Personal Information:
I live in Decatur Alabama. I work in Cullman, Al as an Office Manger.

I have two children ages 18 and 15.

I have two furry babies.

I have a very supportive partner in life who is my rock for over 10 years.

I am blessed well beyond measure!

Other Information:
Here is a brief review of my journey so far:
Jan 2012- Begin walking/running at 188 lbs
Feb 2012- Completed my first 5K
March 2012- Completed two more 5K's
April 2012- Completed two more 5k's
May 2012- Completed two more 5K's, my first Duathlon and I was down 25 lbs.
June 2012- Had a bad fall which set me back
June 2012- Completed another 5K
July 2012- Completed my first Sprint Triathlon
August 2012- Completed my second Duathlon
September 2012- Completed my second Triathlon
Then, I started training for my first half marathon!!!
November 2012- Completed my first half marathon!
April 2013- Completed a Duathlon
June 2013- Completed another Sprint Triathlon

The healthier one eats the more they have a chance of having problems like you mentioned. It's called detox and the body is doing it all the time with colds, flues and the like.

You should have seen what came out of me when I was doing a juice feast. OMG!

It's been a staggering year, starting with Hubby's heart attack and moving through death and cancer and near-death. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers; Mom is out of immediate danger now.
