My Goals:
I intend to maintain a healthy weight, to thrive doing exercise I love, and to have fun.

My Program:
I want to live a healthy life "full out." I am healthy, and consider it my job to protect that gift!

Personal Information:
I was born in the Pacific Northwest, but live in Virginia (Metro DC) now. I always have a foot in each place--I love them both. I love the water and being outdoors and so I try to be active there when I can. The gym is a good fall back though!

Other Information:
I am married, mother to a son, stepmom to a daughter and two sons. Grandmother to 4. Being active with my family is important--we are a movin' bunch.

"If I had to select one quality, one personal characteristic that I regard as being most highly correlated with success, whatever the field, I would pick the trait of persistence. Determination.
The will to endure to the end, to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor saying. "Here comes number seventy-one!"

"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life."
-Tom Venuto

Thanks so much for the kind comment on my page. You are quite an inspiration yourself!

I see you like kayaking! That reminded me of another Spark friend who has made a lot of changes and loves to kayak also.

Check out 4A-HEALTHY-BMI 's page....she has some wonderful blogs too!
