Hello Febraury!

This month I'm coming back to SparkPeople with renewed commitment. I really need to focus on food quality and intake. Somehow I started snacking ... a lot. And, drinking wine ... a lot. And, snacking a lot while drinking the lots of (rather, bottles of) wine. I have already cut down the lots of wine to the occasional glass.

But, the snack habit had already taken hold. Anyway, three days in and when I feel like snacking I take a look a SparkPeople :) Other people with ...

And, snacking a lot while drinking the lots of (rather, bottles of) wine. I have already cut down the lots of wine to the occasional glass.

But, the snack habit had already taken hold. Anyway, three days in and when I feel like snacking I take a look a SparkPeople :) Other people with similar goals helps me keep my focus.

Otherwise, I am making sure to track everything and stay around my 1500 calorie goal. I am trying to add more fruits and vegetables, too. If half of my plate is a salad, I feel like I am on the right track.

My Goals:
Lots of little goals:

At 5' 10" and 220lbs., I am considered obese according to my BMI. So, goal #1 is to drop down to 208 lbs. where my BMI is in the overweight range.

My Program:
Goals to work toward for Febrauary:

1. Be a more active participant in the SparkPeople community.

2. When I feel the urge to start the mindless snacking, visit SparkPeople and find motivation to stay focused.

3.Keep food tracking honestly!

Thank you for the birthday spark goodie. I did not meet any goals. I have been self sabotaging and negative talk. I am starting to take some vitamins and St John's wort to help get me in a positive light. I signed myself up for a 21 day detox and work out program that starts Monday, Feb 8. I am hoping that is the jump start I need to get my head on straight. Great Job on the MILE!! Whoo hoo! I do continue swim, just not as often as I should. I went yesterday and swam 1/2 mile. I should be getting there today as well. Thanks for checking on me. I hope to be back on SP tracking and making some progress. emoticon

How's it going today! I hope you are doing well! Have you been able to get some swimming in? I am closing in on 60 miles for the year. Last year I did 75 for the whole year, so I think I'm ahead of schedule. Maybe I'll hit 100!! emoticon emoticon Take care of yourself! emoticon
