Welcome to Towhee's Nest

Once upon a time there was a little girl, who lived in rural Ohio. She loved to run around outside and play. Then one day her grandmother died and she moved into the big city with her parents and sister to live with her grandfather. She didn't know anyone and felt very lonely. She started gaining weight and she was only 7 years old. Four years later her father was transferred to California, so she moved there. Again she didn't know anyone and this time she didn't even know the culture. ...

It was very different from Ohio and worse she was starting puberty. Well this young lady still had a weight problem and now many years later she's trying to do something about it.
She knows she needs a community and welcomes you to assist her on her journey.

Hi margaret, Thanks so much for the tips on how to take care of myself with the broken ribs. I love the idea of the recliner!!! today I did manage to walk, do some "quiet" workouts on my arms and legs. Hugs, Sandy

Thank you so much for the goodie. Today's just been a hard day missing my dad and the goodie has made a difference in cheering me up.

Can totally relate to not having enough time. I just want to make sure I have some type of routine in place. But I'm glad we waited until we could both retire as we'll push each other so we don't become bumps on a log.

Thanks for your info on your pedometers. I decided I won't be buying one soon, as I just started back to the gym last week. I want to work on keeping my consistency up, as well as I have done so far. Thanks again for your comments. Glenn
