My Goals:
now that i attained my goal weight and have started to slide, my goal is to find some satisfaction in life and my routine, to maintain my health and maybe aim a bit higher in terms of athletic achievement as i resume figure skating.

My Program:
As of october 2012, i plan to return to the ice, once per week, and to find out about the Canadian solo dance competition category and work toward entering the competition.

I worked with an Athletic Trainer to fix several lower body issues. I went in for a hamstring problem and found out it was related to the position of my hips - so we had to fix that. I worked with her several months, doing my exercises and my lower back pain went away, too. Then I stopped.. and several months later ,the back pain started up again. Started my exercises again - pain went away. Lesson learned! I guess the lesson is - if you do something to feel better - you have to keep doing it to continue feeling better!! Hips, legs, butt, knees.. they are all connected. For example - when my knee hurts, I do a deep muscle massage on my butt! weird as it sounds - it works. So keep those legs strong (and stretched!)

Thank you for commenting on my blog. I know that I can get the gout under control and then get back to my walking. I had been doing really well. I had a streak of 105 days walking before I started having sever pain and had to quit. I will be glad when I can get back to my walks again. emoticon

In regards to our sprouting daffodils, japonica and the Pinkie rose...we are in Northeast Texas...80+ degrees today and plummeting to under 60 tommorro...but still dear, crazy, teasing Texas.
