Personal Information:
I am a retired teacher who 4 years ago was referred to an endocrinologist. We have discovered that my high blood pressure, high cholesterol, inability to lose weight and significant hair loss on the top of my head are due to Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia. This means I have enlarged adrenal glands which release too much of a variety of hormones. I am insulin resistant. I am now on Metformin and we are working to find the right dosage. My hair is growing back and my blood pressure is down. I now have hope of losing this weight for the first time in 15 years. I would get down to around 205 and nothing would happen. The trainers I worked with over those years were stumped. But I have renewed hope and commitment.

Other Information:
I am married with a very supportive husband, 2 grown sons, the best daughter-in-law ever and 2 grandchildren - Luke, 2, and Josie, 1. I need energy and the ability and flexibility to keep up with them.

"You've heard the old procrastinator's turn of phrase, "Don't do today what you can put off until tomorrow." Well, the same goes for procrastination itself. Put if off until tomorrow. Seize the future you want by seizing the present you have. Get started now – not tomorrow, next week or when you get around to it. "Around to it" never seems to get here."
