I am a 47 yr old Certified Personal Trainer from STL Missouri. My goal is to always be a positive role model on "lifestyle fitness" for people of all ages, including kids. Keeping your workout fun and challenging keeps you in the game. I have been in the game for over 25yrs.

I do not believe in training with the use of stimulants, or drugs. I use only whey protein and a functional food beverage called NUTRAZON. My biggest challenge is nutrition.

__________The Successful SP Plan______________

People always ask me as a trainer what to do.
Here are some of the things I feel will make you successful with SP site:

1. Find others you bond with, and stick with them for support.

2. Pick people you WANT to become like, they are already there and know what it takes. Join the teams that reflect who you are and WANT to be, that you share like mindedness with.

3. Use the SP tools and log your food and fitness and do it EVERY DAY! Save the foods you eat often on your favorites so its quick to log in. The easier you make it the more likely you will stick with it.

4. Get on the site DAILY and stay on the site, don't quit its FREE! Yes, FREE!

5. Mix up your routine every 3-4 weeks and challenge yourself. You have to make the body work if you want results. Its hard work, but YOU are worth it!

6. Focus on form, its not about how many you do. If you can do hundreds of something you are not challenging yourself. Do them slow, controled and be mindful of form. LOVE A FULL LENGTH MIRROR! I use one to be sure my form is correct, and I have been a trainer for over 25yrs.

7. Eat for fuel. Diet is 80%. There are many articles on this site devoted to that by professionals, USE THEM.

8. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there with the tools. Post your ticker, your food log, your exercise log to PUBLIC view. Others can help you by the information you provide.

9. Set your goals, blog about them, rally to keep yourself accountable.

10. Have fun with your workout! This is so important. If you love what you are doing you will get results. 3% of the world wants to work out, the rest of us have to.
If you keep at it, be consistant it will get easier and you will get results. BE PART OF THE 3%!

My Goals:
I am a certified Personal Fitness Trainer (25+ yrs)

2010 Goals:

I will conquer 3 full handstand pushups

Beat my record time of 9.11 minute mile

Do more strength training and yoga then cardio

Cut down on sugar. I beat the carbs in 2009 now I will beat the sugar in 2010!

Turn my weaknesses into my strengths

Break the 22% body fat plateau

Eat Cleaner &

Hey T. Guess what? It's snowing again. I'm guessing a couple inches so far. They were saying probably 10-12 inches will fall here this time. So I guess that comes to 40-42 inches total in less than a week. That will give me some more exercise with the shovel.

I still need to respond to your email. I haven't been on SP much today. Not really sure why, just been busy with the boy and conversing with Oksana.

Needless to say I won't be making it to the gym tomorrow. Really starting to miss it. Guess I'll be going some P90X and then may either do some Insanity or maybe jump on my elliptical that I haven't touched in month. Would love to say I would go for a run or a walk, but I don't own snowshoes. :)

Hey T, quorn is a meat-free, versatile product that I use a lot. It's made of fungi and has similar taste to chicken (I've been told that as I don't remember how "real" chicken tastes like lol). Although I stay away as much as possible from processed foods, quorn is the go-to staple ingredient in my cooking. I eat quorn meatballs, quorn nuggets, quorn ground "beef," etc. You should try it! PS: It does have a lot of sodium but it tastes delicious!
