I am back and ready to do this as a lifetime commitment this time around! I was on Spark back in 2007-2008 and lost 40 lbs... I gained it back because I just didn't stick with the program. I was so much happier when I was eating better and exercising better. I can't wait to get back in the game.

My Goals:
I want to not be the Fat American! I want to climb up castle stairs and not worry about squeezing by someone. I want to go on a travel adventure - kayaking, biking, zip lining.

I'm from Oregon originally but live in DC. I work at a job that I hated for about a year and there was lots of mindless eating to distract.

Now, I am in a better job and get to make positive changes to the rest of my life!

Hi TravelGirl80!

We do have similar interests! It looks like you have been some really cool places!

I like your suggestion...I need to focus on my goals more. Also planning ahead of time to combat those times I am most week. For example: right after a stressful day at work. I am emotionally and physically exhausted, and if I don't bring something to eat for that 4pm time period, I become uncontrollably ravenous and will not make good choices. Usually a stop at a fast food joint on the way home with my wolfing down soda, a burger and fries is what happens.

I have to update my page. I am actually doing a residency now so I will not make it to New Zealand before I am 40 in June 2014. But with my new career direction there is actually a really good chance I might move to New Zealand for a few years! My career is in high demand there, and there are not to many jobs stateside, so this could become a reality. I really want to be in shape for that!
