Thanks for you comments about retirement -- for people without government pensions, I suppose that the situation may feel a bit different. (Of course one of the reasons I left my college teaching job and went back to school myself to become a lawyer was I knew I did not want to retire at age 65 and at that time 65 was mandatory retirement age, no choice about it). It's great that your DH is enjoying retirement. Many of the others I worked with at the college were also counting the days to retirement and are also now enjoying their retirements. We're all different -- makes the world interesting!

You're the resident traveler -- any advice on how to stay on track with my goals while I'm traveling in Hawaii later this month? My goal is not perfection -- just movement and moderation! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

“And will you succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed! Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent guaranteed!”
― Dr. Seuss

I feel that I'm having a petty good start to the new year and just wanted to spread some of my enthusiasm (who knows how long it will last).

YOU CAN DO IT!

Thank you for the kind words on my page. My husband is doing much better and I am optimistic that he has a better outlook on food and exercise.

I am really excited about the BLC Honey Badger's team. This is my first round so I am going to make it a good one!
