Thanks for your comment on my blog! I also started with dried chickpeas. After soaking them overnight, I boiled them in the manner described on my blog. Some of those were then mixed with a masala simmer sauce (Trader Joe's) to make an Indian style Channa Masala type dish for dinner last night. Then I just mixed some of them with a bit of tahini and a squeeze of lemon juice for dinner tonight. I'm also making them into hummus, as a snack. Beans -- they truly are the magical fruit!

I tell fitbit that I wear it on the dominant hand - but I actually pin it to my pants or shirt on my left side. I have the sensitivity set to "normal" My stride length is 2 feet 4 inches and I'm 5' 4". Here's the explanation of how its calculated from the FitBit site community forums:

Very Active minutes. See this link but a Very Active Minute (VAM) is 6 times your sedentary/sleep calories and is calculated every 60 seconds. A male will always achieve VAM ahead of a female because of extra muscle and probably weight. Also the Charge displays Active minutes which is a total of VAM and moderate minutes.

Here's the link that explains it better https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Hel

Thank you for commenting on my blog :)

A runner friend of mine & a group of her friends did the HM in Little Rock last year. They loved it. This year many of them are going back & doing their 1st FM & invited me to join them. I'm excited to see them all complete there 1st FM & for me to complete last FM. Are you going to be there this year?
