Oh my that must have been scary. I have ridden English Cutback my whole life. We bred and raised American Saddlebreds. JC is the last baby I have. My sister still has some. I am pretty good at getting back my balance when I ride regularly. Believe me, we have no horn or anything to help us. The hardest thing with JC is getting your post on the trot, You literally use your abs with him more than your legs.
I remember as a kid and even a couple years ago when I was still showing, my trainer would have me stand up bareback and kneel bareback. JC is not a horse you want to do that with. He is very good at 180's. I wouldn't say he is the bravest horse in the world. What floors me are people who say that horsebackriding isn't exercise. I'd be happy to put them in my saddle any day :)
Glad you are ok and good to get back up soon. I remember when I broke my leg. It took forever to get rid of the weird feeling when I got back in the saddle. My leg was a bit wobbly. No I didn't break it on a horse. I broke it putting my pants on and I tripped over them lol 1614 days ago
Thanks for the spark goodie, but with my mom in the hospital and I am so far behind for work, doesn't look like I have 45 minutes to myself. I have a showing this afternoon, a closing and listing appt tomorrow, and a listing appt on Saturay. So, maybe Friday I will have some time :) 1680 days ago
