Almost Healthy

In December 2007 I went on a snow boarding trip with my boyfriend. The snow was great and I was really looking forward to it. on the first morning we went to the hire shop and I had to step on the scales .... OMG the scale only went to 200 lbs and i shot off the top of it. I was absolutely mortified. I had noticed I gained some weight but thought - no big deal. OMG the scale only went to 200 lbs and i shot off the top of it. I was absolutely mortified. I had noticed I gained some weight but thought - no big deal. My week boarding was very tough physically, my stomach had gotten so big getting up was actually a problem (most of the time i had to get up backwards).

That was all it took to 'spark me into action. I started my new healthier lifestyle on 1 Jan 2008 at 217lbs and haven't looked back since. Don;t get me wrong it hasn't been easy, there have been 6 month plateau's, time I've gained back 10lbs but I've never wanted to give up or go back to being 217 lbs !

April 2010 and I now weigh 162 lbs, and I'm only 22lbs from my final goal weight. I will achieve a healthy BMI in just 8 lbs so hopefully somtime in May. I'm pretty sure that is the first time I will of had a healthy BMi since college so i'm really excited about seeing that number on the scale.

Feb 2014 and I thought this section needed an update. I fell off the wagon. I never thought it would happen but it did. I managed to gain all the way up to 225lbs I have no real idea why I let it go so far I just wasn't in the right frame of mind to stop. But now I am and I'm fighting my way back down currently bouncing around 210 mark, and have decided to embark on a paleo journey, cutting out all of the processed junk i eat is the first step.

My Goals:
My final goal weight has always been 140lbs i will love to be at my goal in time for the summer sun! Although I think more realistically it will be after the summer !

A fitness goal I am currently working towards is to be able to run 5k

My Program:
Eating: Paleo

No diet coke, No milk chocolate, very little processed food.

Fitness: Mixing it up
Spinning, learning to run, bootcamp and yoga

Personal Information:
I am originally from the Uk but currently living in Zurich, Switzerland.

I started my weight loss journey at 217lbs and set myself a goal of 140 lbs - I will of lost 77lbs when I reach my goal.

I'm currently lost 66lbs away from my target

52lbs to go!!

Other Information:
Spinning is my favourite workout.

I love yoga, the stretching helps to stop me stiffening up !

Hi :) the way I get a lot of exercise is bc I have my own cleaning business and I time myself in each room I race the timer to get my heart rate up ( cardio ) heavy cleaning and house cleaning is actually a fitness you can track on the fitness tracker ...most days after I clean a few houses I come home and cook and clean my house plus homeschool my kids so some days I'm not even sitting down until 11:00

Hi! Thank you for stopping by my blog. I get bored easily and I saw that one of my friends TPETRIE was mixing up her mileage and she's done an awesome job getting healthy, so I wanted to copy. She does WATP but I'm going to walk the dog or do the treadmill. I think it will help mix things up.
