Alright, I'm back and ready to do this!!!!! AGAIN!

Update: 03/01/2010
During my pregnancy I gained almost 50 lbs. :( I know, I stopped exercising as much and gave in to my craving. So far, I've lost about 27 lbs bring my current weight to 249. I have to lose 20 lbs to get to my lowest weight of 228 which I reached last June after 6 hard months of lifestyle changes. I know I can do this again and I have set new goals for myself as well. I cannot fully exercise until I receive the go ahead at my h6 week apt because my delivery was c-section ...

I cant wait to get back to the gym and I am determined to lose the 20lbs before I return to the gym.

Here's a little background on me:

I've been fat all my life. I knew nothing about nutrition-it wasn't something that big value was placed on in my family unfortunately. So starting this mission is me learning how to eat from the very beginning. I never was one to eat a lot of food-I just ate the wrong things.

My new "lifestyle" regimen is basically just eating veggies, lean protein, fruit and whole wheats. I do count calories and I watch my intake of sugar, sodium and carbs to make sure I don't go over the daily allowance. I make sure to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks everyday. So I'm never really hungry. Oddly enough-I haven't had any strong cravings since I started this diet (and I was a chocolate Fiend!).

My highest weight ever was 292-this was actually my starting weight on Jan 1st 09'. When I saw that on the scale-I literally cried. And that day, I put my weight loss plan into full drive.

I totally feel that for me, losing weight was more of a mental thing than anything else. I've never been this determined!!

To be honest with myself and my fellow sparkers-I am somewhat of a slave to the scale. I weigh myself twice a week because I like to know where I stand so if I need to add/remove/alter something in my diet or exercise. This is not good-but it's my truth right now. I am aiming to be in the healthy range (Bmi) at the end of my journey.

Goal 1-Feb.7/:270
**Goal Met! Exceeded goal on feb 23rd weighing 268 (after 2 weeks of plateauing)

Goal 2-March 14: 265-(1 lb away from goal on Feb. 26-weighed in @ 266.0
**Goal 2 reached and exceeded on 03/05/09-weighed in @ 263.5!! YAY!!!!

Goal 3-March 28th: 260 (my B-day weekend)
**Goal met! 03/12/09! Weighed in @ 259.5

Goal 4-April 18:250-I'm coming to get you baby!
**Goal Met! 04/12/08! Weighed in @ 249.5

My Goals:
Short term goal is to get to 200lbs. Long Term-I would like to see what 160 looks like for me and my height. To be healthy and lower my BMI. And to look in the mirror and love the body that I see!

My Program:
No junk food!
No fried food or Fast Food
Eliminated white flour products and switched to whole wheat.
Eliminated juice and soda from diet.
Eating lean Protein, fruits and vegetable
Drinking at least 8 glasses of water everyday.

NO DIET PILLS!

Have a very active 2 yr old son.

Engaged (and trying to lose this weight for that also)
