New Beginnings

I am hoping that by starting to follow the Sparkpeople program I can have a begin a new life with better health and more energy. I am looking forward to losing weight, feeling better, and being able to accomplish more in my day. I am going to focus on being more active and on paying attention to what I am eating.

My Goals:
The main reason for me to lose weight is that I want more energy. It takes a lot of effort to carry around excess weight, and I think it wears me down througout the day. If I can drop some of this weight, I know my energy level will increase.

My Program:
My program will be very basic and based on common sense. I will pay attention to what I eat and I will increase my activity. As I increase my strength and stamina, I am sure I will want to change my program, but right now I am keeping it simple.

Personal Information:
I grew up in Wisconsin - land of great cheese, tastey beer and greasy bratwurst. Still love all those things. I'm a Brewers and Packers fan.

I'm a homeschooling mother of 4, which I love. My kids are amazing, if I do say so myself. I love being able to homeschool them, but that presents it's own weightloss challenges. Can't go to the gym while they are at school because I am school.

It sounds like you are doing all the right things to get your house ready to sell. The new paint and carpet will not only make it look new, it will smell new. The only other thing I can think of is the curb appeal. The first impression is when the potential buyer drives up. Stand outside your front door. There is an 8 foot rule. This is the area they will be looking at before they step inside. Does anything outside need repair? Do your door knobs work easily? Example: Around here we have foundation issues and doors can stick. I wish you the best.

I'm glad you enjoyed reminiscing about the foods that made you warm and comfy. I hope you had a nice visit with your parents.

Thanks for reading my BLOG. I have to admit, the new quilt frame and machine are a blast. I'll post pictures of my first finished quilt, even if it is very humble.

Thanks for the encouragement you left on my page. This foggy, wet weather is depressing. I can't wait until Spring. I'm missing the sun. In the meantime, I do try to keep up with the boot camp videos and today, raining of course, I added the stationary bicycle instead of walking. You have some awesome quilts and they're finished too! I too like Pandora.com. I like making my own music stations and being able to switch when I'm tired on one.
