Hi ! I started following the GI diet 2008 and learned all about fiber and how I wasn't eating the right foods. And of course eating too much food.
I have moved on and now follow Weight watchers. Wow is it ever working for me.

UPDATE: I have now lost 21Ibs since the middle of January 2008.
UPDATE; I have now lost 371bs since the middle of January 2008!
UPDATE: I am feeling good about getting closer to 40 loss.
Update:I have kept off 35 Ibs 2014

I'm following the GI diet in moderation.
Walking seven days a week.
Trying to do core exercises.
Following Weight watchers.
10,000 steps a day .

I am in my 50s.
I have a beautiful Japanese chin..dog
3 Adult children + husband
1 grand daughter + another gd in May 2014!!


Other Information:
I like going to movies-nothing horror or violent.
I read cookbooks and magazines.
My favorite time a year is summer.
I like the beach but would like to be a size 10.
I am almost a size 10 after a year and a half on weight watchers!
I am a size 10 now.

I haven't noticed much of a difference in my sleep quality depending on whether I eat more carbs or more protein, but I DEFINITELY notice a difference if I go to bed too hungry. As in... I wake up and eat everything I can get my hands on!

I'm with you on still learning about diabetes. It's a life long learning process!
