Living in my own little world...

Time to update my intro. I'm pleased to say that I have been able to stick with the Atkins lifestyle and I am seeing results. That makes me happy. I don't think I've ever stuck with a "diet" or life change for this long ... except for the negative life change of eating too much & not exercising.

I now enjoy exercise, though I will admit - some days it's a push to get myself moving! But once I get into it, I love it.

Spark People has been a lifesaver. I've made some excellent friends here - those who make me laugh, those who build me up & those who help me pick up the pieces when I feel like I've failed. This is a great place to feel safe just being myself.

My Goals:
I want to lose over a hundred pounds. I celebrated the first 10 and will continue to celebrate each 10 as they melt away!

My Program:
I was strict low carb and that worked for a while. Now I'm trying to focus more on clean eating - keeping out processed food & sugar. Meats, veggies, whole grains and dairy.

Exercise!
Walking, elliptical, zumba, jillian michaels and aerobics. I wanted to become a runner but with the arthritis in my knee, the doctor has frowned on that! So I get in my power walks which still get me to sweat & make me feel great. Now I need to incorporate more strength training in to my routine.

Personal Information:
My name is Diane and I am 47 yrs old. I'm married with 2 children and we have a bunch of animals. We use to live in the Pocono mountains and loved it, but we moved back to our original hometown of Landenberg :)

Other Information:
My goal is to be the best "me" that I can be.

~~~ emoticon ~~~~~RULES OF CHOCOLATE~~~~~ emoticon ~~~
1. If you've got chocolate on your hands, you're eating it to slow.
2. Chocolate raisins, cherries, and strawberries count as fruit.
3. Eat a chocolate bar before a meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite.
4. Money talks. Chocolate sings.
5. Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look young.
6. Eat equal amount of white and dark chocolate...they'll contradict each other for a balanced diet.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
7. There's no Chocolate Anonymous. No one wants to quit.
8. If you can't get 2 lbs. of chocolate home in a hot car, eat it in the parking lot.
9. Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your daily things to do list. That way, you get one thing done.
emoticon emoticon ~~~She Who Loves Chocolate~~ emoticon emoticon
~~~~~~~ emoticon ~~~~~~CHOCOLATE~~~~~ emoticon ~~~~~~~
Rich, creamy, sensual,
This incredibly, delectable sensation was never meant to be shared.

She wouldn't dream of desecrating a luscious, hand-dipped truffle,
perfectly bite sized for one, by dividing it in two.

And who ever heard of sharing a pint of
hot fudge, chocolate chip, double brownie surprise ice cream.

Her friends tease her...they say she needs to go to
Chocolate's Anonymous. But why...she has no intention of quitting.

With Valentine's Day only a week away, I am dedicating this week to Chocolate, because there's nothing better than sharing with a friend..unless it is a friend with chocolate.

~~~~TOP 10 Reasons I Love Chocolate~~~~
10. Better than sex...most of the time.
9. Always more at the store.
8. Makes my mouth happy.
7. Something fun to do alone.
6. Cheaper than Prozac.
5. Surprise centers.
4. Hides easily in my pocket.
3. Two words - mood swings.
2. Comes in pretty boxes.
AND THE #1 REASON "I LOVE CHOCOLATE" is....
Being addicted won't get you arrested.
