Time to update my intro. I'm pleased to say that I have been able to stick with the Atkins lifestyle and I am seeing results. That makes me happy. I don't think I've ever stuck with a "diet" or life change for this long ... except for the negative life change of eating too much & not exercising.

I now enjoy exercise, though I will admit - some days it's a push to get myself moving! But once I get into it, I love it.

Spark People has been a lifesaver. I've made some excellent friends here - those who make me laugh, those who build me up & those who help me pick up the pieces when I feel like I've failed. This is a great place to feel safe just being myself.

My Goals:
I want to lose over a hundred pounds. I celebrated the first 10 and will continue to celebrate each 10 as they melt away!


My Program:
I was strict low carb and that worked for a while. Now I'm trying to focus more on clean eating - keeping out processed food & sugar. Meats, veggies, whole grains and dairy.

Exercise!
Walking, elliptical, zumba, jillian michaels and aerobics. I wanted to become a runner but with the arthritis in my knee, the doctor has frowned on that! So I get in my power walks which still get me to sweat & make me feel great. Now I need to incorporate more strength training in to my routine.

My name is Diane and I am 47 yrs old. I'm married with 2 children and we have a bunch of animals. We use to live in the Pocono mountains and loved it, but we moved back to our original hometown of Landenberg :)
