Tania's Weight Loss Journey

I'm 38 years old. I suffered a MASSIVE brain stem stroke in '04 and as a result I have gained a LOT of weight... My goal is to get the weight off and be healthy. My husband has recently started having symptoms that point to MS and can no longer work. Thus I am the only one working now. It is stressful and I admit that I haven't been taking care of myself as I should. I am taking baby steps to start addressing some of my problems... I plan to again become active on this site and start logging ALL my daily activities, food intake, etc... I know this is going to be a LONG & DIFFICULT journey, but as long as I keep trying I'm sure I'll make it!

My Goals:
Goals for 2013/2014:

1) Loose to UNDER 200 lbs

2) Find a better job that has benifits

3) Get on a walking program AND STICK WITH IT

4) continue my crocheting to help me NOT snack mindlessly

5) make new spark friends and stay active with SparkPeople!

My Program:
I am keeping God 1st in my life

I am taking steps to get my blood sugar under control
I have a treadmill that I have set a goal to walk on at LEAST 20 min. a day 6 days a week.


And I am doing a exercise called 'planking' to strengthen my core muscles.

I also have some kettle bells that a spark friend sent me that I want to start using.

I am doing my best to stay positive and not let myself or anyone else discourage me...

Personal Information:
I am born and raised in Texas. I now live with my wonderful husband outside of Paris, TX... I am a twin, although we look nothing alike... My sister and I live about 5 min. from each other... We have kids the same age and are very close as twins generally are.... I am a CHRISTIAN... A follower of Jesus Christ... He is the Way, the Truth and the Life... No man comes to the Father except through Him... I am forgiven... I am His!

Other Information:
I enjoy crocheting, walking, reading, surfing the net, going to church, and spending time with my family...

Hope you are doing great! I am reading The Swing book. Tracy Reifkind is so inspirational and a really sweet person. Tracy said that the hardcover book will no longer be printed, so treasure that book. I did buy another one, and I am following her plan. emoticon away!
