Marisa from Texas

It's hard to believe that I'm almost to my goal. Including weight lost before joining SP, I'm over 90 lbs. down, 25 more lbs. to go! Not sure when I'll get there...but I will get there!

I will probably never have washboard abs and I will always bear the consequences of being over 100 lbs. overweight, but I'm doing it and I'm not looking back!

I choose to love my body, just the way it is, right now--battle scars and all.

Good Morning Marisa

Dropping by to wish you a Blessed Easter Weekend and share a special Easter Poem....

Easter Means Eternal Life

A perfect God demands a perfect justice;
He cannot let us get away with sin.
We used Godís gift of our free will to trespass,
So heavenís gates were closed; we couldnít get in.

Our sin required our blood, a sacrifice,
To atone for all the wrongs that we had done.
"But I love them!" cried our Father, filled with sorrow;
"Iíll send my only Son to be the one."

Good Friday marks the slaying of our Jesus,
The unblemished lamb, the perfect sacrifice.
He took our guilt and blame upon Himself,
So we could be with Him in paradise.

On Easter morning, he came back from death;
He vanished from the tomb, the empty grave.
His resurrection means eternal life
For us, the ones he came to earth to save.

This summarizes all the Easter story
And because of it, weíll be with Him in glory.

Love the bluebonnets, thank you for posting them! One of the only things I miss about Texas!!! They should be in full bloom right now. My daughter is a photographer (like me) and she has lots of sessions scheduled this week, so I sure hope they are out in droves!

Evening emoticon

Dropping by to say hi and wish you a great weekend ahead, also want to say emoticon for your support on my blogs, your friendship is appreciated...Hope you enjoy the following poem.. emoticon

The Gift Of Friendship

Friendship is a priceless gift
That cannot be bought or sold,
But its value is far greater
Than a mountain made of gold -
For gold is cold and lifeless,
It can neither see nor hear,
And in the time of trouble
It is powerless to cheer
It has no ears to listen,
No heart to understand,
It cannot bring you comfort
Or reach out a helping hand -
So when you ask God for a Gift,
Be thankful if He sends
Nor diamonds, pearls or riches,
But the love of real true friends.

~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ WHAT I'VE LEARNED ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~

I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life goes on, and it will be better tomorrow. emoticon emoticon
I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. emoticon emoticon emoticon
I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life. emoticon emoticon
I've learned that making a "living" is not the same as making a "life".
I've learned that life gives you a second chance. emoticon
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands, you need to be able to throw something back. emoticon emoticon
I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. emoticon
I've learned that even if I have pains, I don't have to be one. emoticon emoticon emoticon
I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. emoticon emoticon
I've learned that I have a lot to learn. &gr;em&lr;149&gr;/em&lr; emoticon

I hope that all of us can learn, not only today, but each and everyday!!
~~ One thing I've learned is that in order to have a friend, you have to be one.~~

Wishing you a """Wonderful Weekend"""
Lots of ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) & SMILES!!
