Hi all,

I am a mom to two preschoolers (boys). For as long as I can remember, I have always been slim, I was even underweight before I got married and had kids. Over the past 4or so months I think I must have gained 10pounds!! I noticed all my clothes getting tight and wow, it was my bulging belly that I couldn't really stand anymore. I had been trying crunches in fits and starts, and was briefly on SP in 2009(mainly for my belly fat)

I had been trying crunches in fits and starts, and was briefly on SP in 2009(mainly for my belly fat)
Now I am back, hopefully for the long haul, to shed this belly fat, some 30 or so pounds and make exercise and healthy eating a lifestyle!

Update 4/26/2012:
So it's been about 3months since joining spark. I have made some progress and I have reached one of my goals which was making exercise into a routine. I have lost some weight and definitely feel more fit.

Sometimes I slack off because I feel like I look okay already and since I arbitrarily set my weight loss goal, I sometimes don't feel motivated to actually reach it. This makes me realize,(and I most have picked that up here on spark), that the most important thing is having long term goals and making changes that one can stick with on the long haul, long after any goal weights have been reached!

Update 3/2014

Took a break from spark and got busy with life..went from SAHM to 80 hour work weeks.. Now things have slowed down to 50 hours.. I gained a few pounds after initially achieving my wt loss goal in 2012. Who am I kidding, not a few..I am back to my pre spark goal :(. So here goes one more time and hopefully this time I keep it off!

My Goals:
Shed my belly fat

Lose 26 pounds

Make exercise into a routine

Try to reduce wheat consumption

My Program:
* Track my food every single day

*3days a week strength training

*Cardio 6days a week(Run/walk + cardiokickboxing)






Other Information:
Most of my days are spent hanging out with the kids, doing chores and been on my computer/internet.
I love cooking and trying out new foods and recipes. I recently tried cottage cheese for the first time only to discover this was actually what I knew as cheese back in my home county :) it sure was a aha moment!!
I am also learning Arabic and I hope to learn Spanish too
