Hi! My name is Stephanie and I live in California with my husband and two kids.

I weighed 281 lbs when I joined SparkPeople in September 2012. My highest recorded weight was 291 in May 2011. I reached my goal weight of 140 lbs in February 2014.

Now I am adjusting to maintenance and trying to adapt my nutrition accordingly. Some days I am more successful than others.

PS I think doing yoga, practicing mindfulness etcetera are ways, well for me anyway, to put into practice the 'theory' that is offered by ACIM. It really is 'the same thing', well, to me, some people might disagree. But ACIM is offering the explanations (to me, sorry for repeating myself but it's important for me to stress that it's my personal idea not Truth with a capital T) for how and why things like mindfulness and yoga 'work'.

Thank you for the comment! ACIM is a very big book and very theoretical. If you just want to get more acquanted with it maybe you'd prefer to first read an author like Gerald J. Jampolsky.
