Making Myself Smile Again

Since I am now 12 pounds from my goal weight, I figured I should update this. Yes, I was prescribed Adipex, let's get that out of the way first. If you consider that cheating and look down on me for it, too bad. I did the work, I kept up with my doctor, everything I was asked to do I did. I started watching what I ate super carefully, not to keep the calories down, but the nutrients up. I have no desire to make myself sick. I've learned to eat when and only when I am hungry. If you consider that cheating and look down on me for it, too bad. I did the work, I kept up with my doctor, everything I was asked to do I did. I started watching what I ate super carefully, not to keep the calories down, but the nutrients up. I have no desire to make myself sick. I've learned to eat when and only when I am hungry. I make healthy choices, but allow myself to be human and have a slice of cake if I really want it. I work out daily. I run, when I've never even wanted to before. I lift light weights for strengthening. Basically I feel awesome for the first time in I have no idea how long.
Adipex is not a miracle pill, I did not lose 20lbs a month. I just kept going. Now I reap the rewards of hard work and dedication to following my doctors orders. I had to lose weight to solve one medical issue, but that same issue made exercise not feasible. Guess what? Both issues are under control finally! So I don't think everyone should go out and get a weight loss drug. It's not going to work for everyone, especially if you aren't willing to work for it. It worked for me because I burned calories any way I could until walking was an option again. Fidgeting works wonders! Cleaning small sections all day long. Anything. So remember: you CAN do this. Even if you start out crawling, you're moving! Good luck!

I'm reading "I CAN MAKE YOU THIN" by PAUL MCKENNA and listening to his hypnosis CD every day. It has helped me cut out evening eating of junk food. Now I'm having fruit, instead of cookies and chips. Paul McKenna is well known in England and he has clips on YouTube. emoticon
