One Step at a Time

I've been on Sparkpeople off and on since August 2010, but I recommitted just before Christmas 2012 through April of 2013 - did great and lost about 15 pounds for the year. Then I promptly went into overdrive at work and completely off balance. I have started working out again and being more conscientious about my eating habits. The balance to keep everything going is the hardest part - but I am working out 5 times a week minimum and have people to check with to keep me motivated. Oh - and ...

Oh - and having a future date fixed for an accomplishment helps too! I love the interaction of the Sparkpeople community and look forward to my journey as well as the end result! Hopefully I will be better at my interaction as I've worked on finding balance.

- Strength Training 3x a week in conjunction with my half maraton training plan

It feels great when someone at work actually notices. During my weight loss years ago, it took 20lbs and dressing up at a holiday party for anyone to notice. I still chuckle about that. emoticon on living healthier and going for goal.

Thanks for the blog comment. I'm incredibly grateful for Sparkpeople and tracking as I go through all this change in my life. I guarantee that I would have seen some weight changes during this time if not for keeping track of my food and activities. I am enjoying nannying and am finding that the stress level of the actual job is quite low now that I know the girls, especially compared to teaching. Watching one or two girls is no big deal compared to teaching 16 4-year-olds!
