Uza's Quest for Health/Life Transformation

March 2013: I AM VERY MOTIVATED to regain as much of my health as I can, and rid myself of the chronic, debilitating pain and fatigue of the last several years. Too young to feel so old, and having no desire to end up *too sick or crippled* to care for myself in years to come, I am (at age 47) finally taking responsibility for my health and holding myself accountable for my choices, as well as their consequences. And it is very empowering!

Thanks, Suzanne, for thinking of me. I am now volunteering at the walking organization where my wife used to work. I also joined a local "Adventure Club" that does lots of hiking, kayaking, social outings, etc. I even just got back from a 2-week trip out East to visit a number of good friends. These activities have helped a lot to start recovering from the grief - I can now look at photo albums and have happy memories instead of just being sad. If you get a minute, take a look at a few of my most recent blogs. Thanks again!

I'm glad to see you're back at it...me too! I regained about 12 pounds...which was a bit discouraging. But spring is a great time for a restart, right? emoticon

Thanks, Suzanne, for the nice comments on the tribute blog I did for my wife. The words of encouragement always help. I've been trying to take care of myself, but sometimes I just don't feel like doing much. I'm going this weekend to Houston to visit my wife's parents. Her mother isn't doing very well, and I need to visit before she gets too sickly.

Thanks for being there for others! Now you take care of yourself also!

Hi Suzan, I haven't seen you for while. Hope you are doing fine. Thinking about you.
