Uza's Quest for Health/Life Transformation

March 2014: After successfully losing 100 pounds with optimal nutrition, daily exercise, and the support of SparkPeople, I got distracted by an amazing new lease on life (and a relationship).

Over the last few months, I've slipped a bit in terms of how healthy I am eating, the amount of exercise I get in each day, etc. As a result, I regained 10 pounds, am experiencing more pain, and my energy levels are down.

Today I am consciously rededicating myself to my health ...

March 2013: I AM VERY MOTIVATED to regain as much of my health as I can, and rid myself of the chronic, debilitating pain and fatigue of the last several years. Too young to feel so old, and having no desire to end up *too sick or crippled* to care for myself in years to come, I am (at age 47) finally taking responsibility for my health and holding myself accountable for my choices, as well as their consequences. And it is very empowering!

I'm glad to see you're back at it...me too! I regained about 12 pounds...which was a bit discouraging. But spring is a great time for a restart, right? emoticon

Thanks, Suzanne, for the nice comments on the tribute blog I did for my wife. The words of encouragement always help. I've been trying to take care of myself, but sometimes I just don't feel like doing much. I'm going this weekend to Houston to visit my wife's parents. Her mother isn't doing very well, and I need to visit before she gets too sickly.

Thanks for being there for others! Now you take care of yourself also!

Thanks for the holiday wishes! It appears my wife will finally to get home next Tuesday after 5 1/2 weeks in the hospital. This will be a great Christmas present. Thanks again!
