For the stews that I make I just start adding things to it and then taste it along the way. I do start out with broth as the base and then add the leftover meat (cut up into smaller pieces) and add vegetables and spices that I think will go with it. I just add a little spice and then keep adding in small amounts until I get the taste that I like. That is how I make my stews.. No recipe most of the time and when I do use them it is a combination of a couple different recipes together. Get rid of what I don't like and add what I do. That is how I do my stews. I have made some bad ones but most of the time it comes out good.
