My name is Kris and I am a mom to boy/girl twins who are currently six years old - My biggest inspiration for losing the weight.

I've been on SP since early 2008 with many ups and downs. As of 12/3/2012, I have been going STRONG and am DETERMINED to battle this morbid obesity once and for all. It's going to be a wild ride, but I am up for the challenge. Come and join me, and check out my blog! :)

My Goals:
My overall goal is to get down to 125 lbs.

Short term goals:

May 18th 2013 - 200 lbs.

September 3rd 2013(Labor Day/End of Summer) - 170 lbs.

New Years 2014 - 160 lbs

My Program:
I am following a typical lower-calorie, lower-fat diet to achieve my goals. I am not only looking for weight loss, but also an overall improvement in health. I have several health concerns that can be addressed through weight loss, proper diet, and a good fitness program. This has worked for me in the past. My diet is focused on eating PLENTY of fruits and vegetables (I strive for 8+ servings/day), lean meats, a lot of whole grains, and some low-fat dairy. The occasional treat slips through as well...I am only human, after all! :)

I also exercise 5 days per week. 80% is cardio and 20% is strength training at the moment. I go to the gym for the most part, but do occasionally walk outdoors as well as use hand weights at home.

Oh Kris, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your kitty! My heart goes out to you, I'm sending big hugs to you. It's so devastating to lose them, you will be in my thoughts. Don't worry about the team, you just heal that broken heart of yours.
