ONE step at a time.

I have been on this journey for six years. I was a whopping 298 pounds four weeks after I had my second child in 2007. At 5 foot tall that is morbidly obese. o.O I have been on every plan out there and the weight always came back. I was a yo yo dieter. It has always been a struggle for me. Starting from a very young age. I have always been the big girl.

Starting from a very young age. I have always been the big girl.

In 2011 I dropped
85 pounds and I felt so much better about myself. I still didn't have confidence though. I went through a horrible break up at the end of the year of almost 9 years then I enrolled in college in November and graduated in 2012. I focused on school and studying and fell back into bad habits. I knew what I was doing was wrong and punished myself a lot for it. I still didn't change my path though.
I changed my course in life and finally landed my dream job. I couldn't ask for a better career. Now it is time to focus back on me.
One day at a time. Putting one foot infront of another and getting through every meal being healthy.

Sparkpeople has given me a voice. I used to feel lost and helpless, now I know where to turn to get help. I know that this is a life long process. You can drop the weight but it is not that easy. You will struggle EVERY single day the rest of your life. Every decision you make matters. Working out, eating right. Taking the stairs instead... Parking in the last spot at the grocery store.

I If I can do this... ANYONE can. It is simple... Eat right, live healthy. One step at a time...It is the little things that matter. =)

Work out 5 days a week for atleast 60 minutes a day. Eat 1200-1500 cals a day.

I love to read and write. I love to garden and swim. I have two amazing little boys that will always be my inspiration to get through every day.

Other Information:
I love to read. I always have my head in the lastest good book. I can read a book a day and still go on with my life. I love working with children. I'm a big movie buff.
