Hi! I'm a brand new 40yo working mom of 2 teens, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a partner to my wonderful spouse. I've been a member of SparkPeople for awhile now, but fell off of late. One of my sons told me if losing weight would make me feel better than why don't I just do it, because he wants to see me happier. If that isn't a jolt to your self-esteem, not sure what is. So I am committed to doing this and, I mean, really doing this for me, for my health, for my spouse so we have many more years together, and for my sons, whom I want to be happy role model. It's not going to be easy and I know I'll fall. I just have to keep my head in the game knowing that with success comes some failure, because we can't be a success at something if we don't try and fail a bit along the way.
Strength train 3x a week. DOING IT!!!
Cardio 3x a week for 60mins.
Remember to RELAX!!
Remember to take time for me (meditation, yoga, reading) 10mins a day.
Working on my portion sizes.
Keeping track of my water daily.
Starting a journal of food and exercise.
