Hey there! Time to update my introduction. As of April 2013 I committed to becoming a healthy vegan. I had been a vegan in the past, and although it always helped initially, I still ate quite a bit of junk foods and sweets and not enough fruits and veggies, which made it difficult to get truly healthy with. Hey there! Time to update my introduction. As of April 2013 I committed to becoming a healthy vegan. I had been a vegan in the past, and although it always helped initially, I still ate quite a bit of junk foods and sweets and not enough fruits and veggies, which made it difficult to get truly healthy with. I also had trouble sticking with veganism even though I knew it was the best choice for me for a variety of reasons.

When I was diagnosed with some severe health problems-high blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity, and close to being pre-diabetic, as well as having iron deficient anemia (mostly unrelated to my eating habits, but thought I'd mention it anyhow) I recommitted to veganism, and vowed to cut down on the amount of junk I ate. I also signed up for sparkpeople and followed my plans religiously.

Now, as of November, I have lost more than 60 lbs, have reduced my hemoglobin a1c results (for diabetes testing) down -.1 (my doctor says I am now nowhere close to being pre-diabetic), have improved my blood pressure, and have started running for longer periods of time than I ever thought possible, as well as exercise about 6 times a week.

I have been diagnosed with many issues before, but recently I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroid disease. It explains much of what I've gone through for most of my life, and is actually a relief. I am still learning about it and how it affects me, though.

I love to cook my own meals.
I love animals, I have three cats.
I am a student in college.
I have many academic and general interests. I am very intellectually curious.
My favorite show is Game Of Thrones.
I sometimes spend too much time online...
I'm a feminist.
I proofread and am aware of my writing, I love to write and am decent at spelling although it took a lot of work to get to be good at it when I was a kid. I know some French and very minimal Spanish but I love languages and learning from other cultures.
I have three cats in my home, love them. But I equally love dogs, I just don't have any.

Sorry, keep forgetting your complicated college schedule ;)
Glad you are not frustrated with food as an entity! Hope you can get a handle on the eating that's bothering you. I had been overdoing it at night after pretty good days and sabotaging myself. But I have to be in a swimsuit in 30 days now, so NO MORE!
