Hi,

My name is Sheryl. I'm a Vegetarian and I'm looking to lose 45 lbs. I'm married to an Omnivore. We go to restaurants on the weekend. I need counsel on how to eat healthfully as a Vegetarian while getting the nutrients I need. I've packed on the pounds because in most restaurants, the food stuffs that are available to me are highly starchy, fat and sugar laden. I find that I can no longer tolerate dairy, sugar and wheat products. But I eat these foods anyway because my options ...

My Goals:
Looking to get to lose 40 lbs. I'm hoping that with the support of SparkPeople, I can meet my goal. I'm also looking to heal some nagging health issues due to overeating and eating the wrong foods.

My Program:
Vegetarian leaning towards Vegan. Eat eggs when nothing is available in a restaurant. Exercise - Elliptical Trainer, walking, and Yoga and arm weights.

I made the decision to attempt to eat more as a Vegan as of the first week of January.

Other Information:
My hobbies are: reading, journal writing, anything that relates to learning more and more about nutrition, dancing, all things yoga, and the study and practice of spiritual metaphysics (spiritual mysticism).

I couldn't have said it better myself!!! I look forward in being the supporter and supported. So far I've done pretty good this week with the exeption of maybe a pizza or 2 but I'm working on my will power.

How far is downtown Philly? Do you workout on the weekend so that you can balance the evening meals? That might help.
