Hi! I'm Vero!

I used to call this page my weight lost journey, but the journey I am documenting here on Spark is about a lot more than just weight loss...

About Me:
If you were to look up random in a dictionary, you might find a picture of me. I'm a writer. I'm also the servant to two little girls and three feline masters. I am an avid reader, a dreamer, and an Internet addict. My highly obsessive personality is often the subject of many jokes amongst my family and friends, but it has served me well; I wouldn’t have written a book without it. I am studying everything Persian from the language, to the history, to the cuisine – another side effect to my obsessive personality – and I like to dance.

- My real name is Véronique but I also answer to Veronica and Vicky... actually I answer to hey you as well.

- I was born in Montreal, and have also lived in Toronto, and Ottawa, amongst other cities. (I currently live in Ottawa)

- My daughters are exactly 22 months apart and were both born on the 1st of the month. This pleases me tremendously as I obsess with patterns.

- I gave birth to my 2nd daughter at home.

- I cannot keep my house clean.

- I have telephone anxieties. I panic before making phone calls and don't like answering the phone either. But I worked several years in a call center... No it didn't cure me.

- Though French is my native language, I prefer speaking English and even think in English.

- Whenever I read DYAC I laugh until I cry.

- I am ridiculously positive. No, I don't believe every cloud has a silver lining, when I'm done with them, the clouds are entirely made of silver!! And no they will not fall out of the sky and crush people, they are held by silver threads... Didn't you know?

- I am perpetually awkward. I seem to never run our of new ways in which I can embarrass myself.

My Goals:
I have 80-90 lbs to lose. I'm going to start with 50 and take it from there.

My Program:
I'm going to log what I eat, make sure I don't overeat and start off by doing 10 minutes of exercise a day. I will adjust my program according to my results (or lack thereof).
