I sort of stumbled onto SP by accident and I'm so glad I did. My story goes like this: Ten years ago I was traveling with my husband while he worked. Every morning I would walk the beach, it was wonderful . Well story goes his work changed and I got brought home. No more beach walking for me. I was slim and my girls were not. They picked right up and we walked and biked etc. We all lost weight. Anyway they gained there weight back and I stayed small until I went to work and stopped walking. I was working swing shifts and every thing seemed messed up. Because my girls were 200+. they would say mama you don't need to lose weigh. I knew I did but you know when you have everyone telling you different, you tend to just not get serious. about your weight Deep down I knew it and my clothes knew it too. In Dec. 2007 like I said I stumped on to SP and just fell in love with the entire site. I wrote a post in one of my teams, I'm a Pointaholic!!!!! Maybe I should put that in my blog. I push the walks, the bike rides, the ellipatal machine to get 24points every day. I do strength training (10) for the same reason 10 points. I hate seeing something I can acheive and don't, so I keep pushing on. My weight is coming off 1 pound a week so I joined the Swinsuit bootcamp to jump start my system again. I can't do all but I do all I can. Now my daughters and granddaughter have started watching what they eat, and my daughters and I walk a lot. I like to think I am a motivation to them. My granddaughter is a spark teen, and both daughters are on sp but they don't post and all as much as I do. I really enjoy the site. That's my story, my motivation comes because I'm seeing results and what I do is fun.
I wrote this in one of my teams and it pretty well says it all about me:
My name is Ginny and I'm admitting I'm a pointaholic. Every since I challenged my self to get 100 points first for a week and then I said for the month of April and now I can't stop. I made 100 or over every day in April. I find myself waying what I should do against my time. The other day my hubbie wanted to go to the movies. I told him ok but it would mean working harder when I got home to get my exercise and points for the day. Even while sitting here writing, I'm thinking I should be up and exercising to get my 24-10-5 points for today. I think if I stayed off sparkpeople for a day I would have with drawal pains. Am I alone? Are there other pointaholic out there hiding, just wanting to come out in the open but are afraid? Please tell me I'm not the only one?

My goal is to lose 47 pounds and 4 inches from my waist. I want to eat healthy for the rest of my life not just be on a diet. Why? Simple I want to enjoy the life that God hs given me. I want to be all that I can be for as long as I'm here on this earth, and when the time comes that I can no longer enjoy life, I pray that my heaveny Father will take me home to where Ill never grow old or fat again.
My main objective to reach my goal is to watch what I eat. T eat more because I tend to skip meals and then eat at random, not always the healthiest things. I also want to start excersizing again and not just as a fad but as a lifestyle.

My name is Ginny and I am from Alabama. I like crafts and working with flowers. I enjoy walks during the summer and crafts all winter. I have 7 cats and one big dog who does not like my 7 cats. Wish he did, but he just want take to them. Six of my 7 are outsidekitties, not all by my choice but because they were wild. My main baby is Sabastion and we got him before he became wild.
I am a Born again Christian. I enjoy reading book most would call enlightning....sometimes I will read fiction. I enjoy music that is fast and makes you want to move, move, move. I have been married 37 years to the same man, have 3 children, 3 grand children and 1 great grandson.
