How I looked a year ago (August 2013)

I was 150 lbs here in 2005. Would like to get close to this again.

New Beginnings

This year I'm working to make healthier choices in what I eat, the amounts I eat ( which tends to be one of my biggest issues), and trying to get in more gentle exercise that I can do at home.
For many, many years now it's been a huge struggle for me to drop any weight, and in fact, over the last 8 years I've gained 117 lbs. Now I'm trying to find what will work best for me to get the weight back off once and for all.

For many, many years now it's been a huge struggle for me to drop any weight, and in fact, over the last 8 years I've gained 117 lbs. Now I'm trying to find what will work best for me to get the weight back off once and for all.
In the past I always had a family member or very close friend that would push me to stay on track. That's how for over 30 years I managed to stay between 125-150 lbs. It wasn't until I remarried in 1996 and then my very best friend and supporter died in 2007, that the weight started crawling back at about 10-15 lbs a year. Now here I am at 261.2 lbs and miserable. My husband says he'd like to see me back to between 165-180 lbs, but doesn't do anything to support me in my efforts. That makes it extremely difficult to stay on track. He doesn't understand that losing weight for me is extremely difficult and support is very important. But he's afraid if he encourages me to lose the weight I'll push him to lose his much NOT needed weight. But that's something he has to decide for himself. I'd support him 150%. I just wish he'd do the same for me instead of wanting me to eat foods he knows I shouldn't even have in the house.
I know I need to be more strong willed and it's something I am working on. Time will tell if I manage it or not.
Right now my goal is to get down to 198 lbs.
My ultimate goal is 165 lbs.

Thanks so much for the spark goodie! I was told if you need something, ask for it. I'm not sure what anyone can do to help. I just need to DO it instead of thinking/talking about it. Sometimes the doing part is hard! It helps to know that others are out there and have had these same struggles at times! Thank you! emoticon emoticon
