How I looked a year ago (August 2013)

I was 150 lbs here in 2005. Would like to get close to this again.

New Beginnings

This year I'm working to make healthier choices in what I eat, the amounts I eat ( which tends to be one of my biggest issues), and trying to get in more gentle exercise that I can do at home.
For many, many years now it's been a huge struggle for me to drop any weight, and in fact, over the last 8 years I've gained 117 lbs. Now I'm trying to find what will work best for me to get the weight back off once and for all.

For many, many years now it's been a huge struggle for me to drop any weight, and in fact, over the last 8 years I've gained 117 lbs. Now I'm trying to find what will work best for me to get the weight back off once and for all.
In the past I always had a family member or very close friend that would push me to stay on track. That's how for over 30 years I managed to stay between 125-150 lbs. It wasn't until I remarried in 1996 and then my very best friend and supporter died in 2007, that the weight started crawling back at about 10-15 lbs a year. Now here I am at 261.2 lbs and miserable. My husband says he'd like to see me back to between 165-180 lbs, but doesn't do anything to support me in my efforts. That makes it extremely difficult to stay on track. He doesn't understand that losing weight for me is extremely difficult and support is very important. But he's afraid if he encourages me to lose the weight I'll push him to lose his much NOT needed weight. But that's something he has to decide for himself. I'd support him 150%. I just wish he'd do the same for me instead of wanting me to eat foods he knows I shouldn't even have in the house.
I know I need to be more strong willed and it's something I am working on. Time will tell if I manage it or not.
Right now my goal is to get down to 198 lbs.
My ultimate goal is 165 lbs.

Hi! Yes I am having a wonderful day! Love this great weather we are having here.

So I guess I'm not the only one who hates getting their picture taken! I gain weight in my face and neck... as you can imagine it is not my best look. LOL
Thanks for being such a great spark friend!

no worries about the goodie - I have oodles of them.

it is easier when DH works with you - I had Ray's support 150% all the "weigh"

although he wasn't trying, he actually lost 30 lbs because I was so busy with my mealplans that I forgot to feed him, lol, and he foolishly thought he could outwait me. Duh!

I had been hoping that if I could relose this 20 lbs the pain would stop, but the more I lost, the more I was hurting. Finally it's turning around!

Just keep trying Vicki, you really can do it if you go one step at a time. You might want to look into using a foam roller - there's even a YouTube video to make your own but my DH is not "handy" with tools. Walmart has one for $7 so I figured that wasn't too much to try - there are videos everywhere, even here at SP.

huggers,
linda
