My name is Laura....and I CrAvE this Lifestyle of Health & Fitness! ...but it hasn't always been this way....70 # ago. However, I have maintained my loss for ONE YEAR now!
GOAL: August 22, 2008: begin weight loss journey...lose 60# slowly...take it 1 day at a time.
GOAL MET: November 2009 - lost 60#, and 51 inches down!
GOAL: Maintain 60# loss, and increase strength endurance, lose inches too...(my FAV kind of loss!)
GOAL MET: November 2010 - I have maintained my 60# loss, an additional 12 inches GONE!! & I'm CRAVING Strength training and cardio!!!, ...this healthy lifestyle is MY LIFESTYLE now!! I own it!
GOAL: June 2012 - Due to a motorist accident, I gained 8# and lost time during the recovery period....I need to regain strength, endurance and ideal weight....once again!
GOAL MET: October 2012 Made my goal!! ...and even better than before! ...and now 3# away from my FINAL GOAL!
GOAL MET: November 2012 I reached my Final Goal!! ..::::65# gone Forever! Now to maintain:::...my range weight is 140-145....gives me a 22 BMI.
GOAL MET: June 2013 I reached another goal...::my body fat is now 21%!
SETBACK: February 2014 I developed plantar fasciitis, and had to STOP all fitness for a few months....being sedentary was a sort of prison for me. Then we moved (HUGE life change for my family of 6)...time flew through house remodeling and needing to stay off of my foot - hence 23# gained thru it all.
GOAL: Currently as of June 2015...I'm taking one day at a time and claiming my health...once again. Weight loss through staying on track and implementing those healthy lifestyle habits. One Day At A Time...I Can Do This.

Remember just because it is a Holiday Weekend doesn't mean you can't have a good time and stay on track... just watch be sure to weight the hamburger meat out to 3-4 ounces, layer it with plenty of veggies like lettuce, cucumbers, onions, radishes or your favorites!! Try adding some grilled vegetables to the list... Family BBQ's can be the greatest way to get your family on board to trying fresh grilled vegetables and "Yes" even grilled "Fruits"... Try gilled fruit and veggie kabobs... along with your favorite salsa. Even visit Chef Meg for some of her favorite recipes for grilling!!

Don’t completely eliminate foods that you actually LOVE.
Chances are that if you completely cut out foods you absolutely love, you’ll spring back into old eating habits pretty quickly. Unless your doctor informs you of a health condition that requires food elimination, or unless you choose to eliminate a food for personal reasons, let go of the idea of “bad” foods and learn to enjoy them in moderation instead. Pasta? Rice? A piece of chocolate cake? Enjoying these once in a while won’t derail all of your hard work and they aren’t “unhealthy” in proper portions. It is all about portion control...
Things do get a bit tricky with this “don’t” though. You have to figure out the best method of non-elimination for you. For example, if you keep your favorite food in the house and know you aren’t able to control how much you eat, then don’t keep it in the house. Instead, enjoy it only when you go out.
